With warm summer days, come outdoor meals and lots of good times! Here’s what you need to do to plan the prefect summer barbecue…

Shop in Advance

I like to pick up my food and supplies well in advance. I make a list and shop ahead, so that I don’t have to run to the store while I’m getting things ready on the day of the barbecue.

My shopping helpers never turn down a trip to Walmart!

In the event that I’ve forgotten something or I’m in a hurry, Walmart pickup is a lifesaver! I can take advantage of the same in-store savings, and they’ll even load my car. Hooray for not having to unload the kids! Click here to see if it’s available in your area!

Head to your local Walmart and pick up your own Clean Squad of Viva paper towels and Clorox cleaning spray for your next event!

How to Save Money on Barbecue Supplies

If you haven’t already heard of it, Ibotta is an app that can save you some serious cash! I’ve literally gotten back hundreds of dollars in rebates since I signed up a couple of years ago. They currently have rebates available for your purchase of Viva and Clorox at Walmart!

Just upload a copy of your receipt and scan your items, to get your rebate!

For extra savings, visit Walmart’s bundle page to save even more!
Here’s an example of some of the great deals:
You can save $.50 off any Clorox Clean-Up Cleaner + Spray varieties. And, launching July 5th, save $1 off any Viva Paper Towels 6 pack or larger!

Clean up Your Outdoor Space

If you’re like me, your grill and outdoor furniture is probably covered in a thick coating of dirt from sitting untouched for months. Luckily, all you need is little elbow grease and the right tools to get things looking new again.

Have a Backup Plan for Bad Weather

Sometimes, when you plan to be outdoors, mother nature has other ideas. It’s a good idea to have your indoor spaces ready for people if the need arises. You’ll want to make sure you have some indoor seating and table space cleared off in case of the dreaded thunderstorm!

Simple Hacks for Hosting

Put a roll of Viva paper towels on your umbrella pole. They won’t roll off the table or blow away. And, it keeps them in easy reach for your guests.

Bring you trash can outside. If guests can toss their trash outside, you’ll have less to clean up inside after the party! Keep Clorox cleaner handy in case of spills!

  1. I love whoever invented paper towels, lol!
And what a brilliant idea of putting the roll in the umbrella pole!
Now I want to plan a bbq! Thanks.

  2. I loved the post. The most lovely part was to involve tinny helpers. Trust me child’s engagement in your routine life is really helpful for them in future and as a mom we get quality time to spend with them

  3. I love the green clorox clean up especially for my bathroom. Always leaves everything looking so clean. I like the blue one for my kitchen counters and patio furniture.

  4. The idea of having the paper towel roll on the umbrella is so smart! I had never thought of that. Looks like bunch of other people hadn’t thought of it either. 🙂

  5. We love hanging out back with friends and family. These two make cleaning before and after our parties SO much easier. I kinda need a table and umbrella now though just so I can use this trick! GENIUS!

  6. Wow. What a good ideas and I will keep this in my mind when we had an outdoor party. Glad that you share this with us
