Last night, we took a ride to the North Pole on the Royal Gorge Route Santa Express Train. We picked up Santa at the North Pole and he visited us on the train. It’s such a magical experience that my family really enjoyed! Read on to find out more about our trip and get all the details about how you can be part of the fun!

Riding The Santa Express Train

Before we boarded the train, we took advantage of some cute photo ops. Getting three kids to actually look at the camera is nearly impossible, but we got a couple cute shots!

Once onboard, the kids did some coloring and made lists for Santa while we waited on our meals. We also enjoyed cookies and hot chocolate.

After the reindeer pokey, we arrived at the North Pole and picked up Santa!

The train stopped under the Royal Gorge bridge and we visited the outdoor platform car. I didn’t take any pictures because it was pretty dark. It was also a great view of the river!

Santa Express

After we started heading back, we played a game of holiday bingo and then got a very special visit from Santa! The kids were able to give their lists to Santa and each child also got a reindeer bell. Santa’s elves came around to identify which reindeer the bell was from!

We sang jingle bells before we headed back to the station. It was a great trip! We can’t wait to go again next year!
