Anyone else have kids that obsessed with the poop emoji?! I feel your pain! My kids have been begging to make some poop soap, but I couldn’t stomach the idea of making brown, poop-shaped soaps. So, here’s a rainbow unicorn poop soap to try making at home!
***There are several steps to this recipe, but it is quite easy to make. Once you have completed the first step, the rest are very similar to complete. You can do it!**
Rainbow Unicorn Poop Soap Supplies:
• 1 1/2-pounds melt and pour goats milk soap
• 1 tablespoon melted coconut oil (divided into fourths)
• 10-20 drops of Lemon essential oil
• 10-20 drops of Pink Grapefruit essential oil
• 10-20 drops of Lavender essential oil
• 10-20 drops Lime essential oil
• Yellow, Pink, Purple and Green gel food color (I used colors from this set from Amazon) or mica powder.
• Poop soap mold (You can find the one I used here on Amazon)
• Rubbing alcohol in a spray bottle
• 4 medium microwave safe bowls
Rainbow Unicorn Poop Soap Instructions:
Complete the Yellow Layer First
1. Add 8 cubes of the goats milk soap base to one microwave safe bowl.
2. Melt in 30 second intervals, stirring after each until it is completely melted. Add 1/4 tablespoon coconut oil.
3. Add Lemon essential oil to bowl.
4. Add yellow coloring to bowl. Thoroughly mix color into soap mixture.
5. Spray bottom of mold with rubbing alcohol. Carefully pour yellow soap mixture into mold. Allow to harden at least 30 minutes. You know you can pour the next layer if you blow on the soap and it doesn’t ripple.
6. Spray with alcohol to remove bubbles.
Complete the Pink Layer Second
1. Add 8 cubes of the goats milk soap base to one microwave safe bowl.
2. Melt in 30 second intervals, stirring after each until it is completely melted. Add 1/4 tablespoon coconut oil.
3. Add Pink Grapefruit essential oil to bowl.
4. Add pink coloring to bowl. Thoroughly mix color into soap mixture.
5. Spray yellow layer with rubbing alcohol. This helps the layers adhere to one another. Carefully pour pink soap mixture into mold. Allow to harden at least 30 minutes. Make sure there are no ripples when you blow on it.
6. Spray pink layer with alcohol to remove bubbles.
Complete the Purple Layer Third
1. Add 8 cubes of the goats milk soap base to one microwave safe bowl.
2. Melt in 30 second intervals, stirring after each until it is completely melted. Add 1/4 tablespoon coconut oil.
3. Add Lavender essential oil to bowl.
4. Add purple coloring to bowl. Thoroughly mix color into soap mixture.
5. Spray purple layer with rubbing alcohol so the layers adhere to each other. Carefully pour purple soap mixture into mold. Allow to harden at least 30 minutes. Make sure there are no ripples when you blow on it.
6. Spray purple layer with alcohol to remove bubbles.
Complete the Green Layer Fourth
1. Add 8 cubes of the goats milk soap base to one microwave safe bowl.
2. Melt in 30 second intervals, stirring after each until it is completely melted. Add 1/4 tablespoon coconut oil.
3. Add Lime essential oil to bowl.
4. Add green coloring to bowl. Thoroughly mix color into soap mixture.
5. Spray purple layer with rubbing alcohol so the layers adhere to each other. Carefully pour green soap mixture into mold.
6. Spray green layer with alcohol to remove bubbles.
Allow to harden overnight. Carefully remove the soaps from the mold. Store in an airtight container until ready to use.
