I’m a big fan of all things fall, but especially fall foods! Pumpkin is one of my absolute favorites. It really brings a great flavor to the pumpkin spice oatmeal. This is a great breakfast for cold mornings when you need to get moving!
Pumpkin Spice Oatmeal Ingredients
1 cup old-fashioned rolled oats
1 3/4 cups whole milk (or non-dairy milk)
1/4 cup pumpkin puree
1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/2 cup chopped pecans
Pumpkin Spice Oatmeal Directions
– In a large saucepan over medium heat, mix together the oats and milk.
– Bring to a boil and then reduce heat and let it simmer for about 5 minutes. Make sure to continue to stir.
– Add in the pumpkin puree and ground cinnamon and stir. Let it simmer for an additional 1-2 minutes.
– Add to a bowl and top with chopped pecans. Serve immediately.
