On the way back from our visit to Phoenix and Tucson, we wanted to make a stop at the Petrified Forest National Park. We got there a little later than anticipated due to an accident on the highway. So, we didn’t get to spend as much time as we originally planned. But, it was still a great place to visit! I suggest allowing a few hours to drive from one end of the park to the other, stopping to see things along the way.
Holbrook KOA
We spent the night at the Holbrook KOA, and we could spend a little more time in the park the next morning before heading back to Colorado. The kids enjoyed a few minutes on the playground before dinner!
Petrified Forest National Park
We visited several different areas in the Petrified Forest National Park. The kids also became junior rangers!
Painted Desert
Blue Mesa
Petrified Logs
Heading Home!
Beautifully captured. Kids seems to be having a lot of fun there.
I’ve always wanted to travel to some of the national parks in the USA…. my kids are almost grown now, but this looks like a trip the family can enjoy at any age! Great photos also, stay inspired! xoxo Robin from THE INSPIRED (http://www.theinspired.life)
Absolutely stunning scenery and you capture these images beautifully
I had a chance to go see the Petrified Forest and the Painted Desert when I was 21 I can’t wait to get to go back there with my kids and show them one day. So beautiful and so different from the Florida scenery.
