Today’s Picture Book Month theme is Peace and we’re reading The Peace Book by Todd Parr. We also made a Peace Garden Craft to go with the book.
The book is great for kids to get an understanding about the concept of peace.
One of the ideas mentions planting a garden, and that is the one my son wanted to focus on. It’s a bit too cold here for gardening, so created paper gardens instead!
After laying out their designs, we wrote some ways to celebrate peace as a finishing touch! They came up with thing like “be you”, “be kind” and “give hugs”!
Here’s the clipart we used to make our gardens:

SO cute!!! I’ve always loved his illustrations. And our world could use a little peace craft right now so this is perfect!
