We got up early this morning to check out Colorado Springs Labor Day Lift Off! This is one of our favorite events in Colorado Springs, and we go every year. So, headed to Memorial park to see 70+ hot air balloons during the mass ascension! We’ll definitely be checking out the balloon glow later this weekend.
Labor Day Lift Off dates and times:
The balloons launch aach morning Saturday, September 2 through Monday, September 4. The first wave of balloons will lift off at 7:00 am and the mass ascension usually wraps up around 8:30 am.
Balloon glows start at 7:30 pm on Saturday and Sunday evening with live music to entertain.
This event is FREE! Paid parking is available in or near the park. You can also park for free in nearby neighborhoods.
Labor Day Lift Off Tips:
If you’re going in the morning, bring chairs or a blanket to sit on while you wait. The field becomes very crowded, so consider using a carrier or stroller for young children. Leave pets at home; they aren’t allowed on the field.
