I’ll be honest; I’m not usually a huge fan of kale. But, I really enjoy kale chips and so do my kids! When I make batches of these, they usually fly off the baking sheet before I can get the next batch started! I hope you enjoy these easy kale chips as much as we do.
Easy Kale Chips
All you need is kale, olive oil and salt!
Preheat oven to 275.
Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Having the parchment paper is essential for crispness!
Wash kale and remove the large center stems. Tear into pieces. These will shrink a bit while cooking, so keep the pieces fairly large. This is a great place to get the kids involved!
Spread the pieces out on the parchment paper. Make sure they’re not too crowded. If you try to cram too many on the baking sheet, they won’t crisp up as well. One bunch of kale typically requires 2-3 batches.
Spray with olive oil or other cooking oil. I use the Misto sprayer to get a light even covering of oil.
Sprinkle with salt.
Bake for 15 minutes.
Toss and bake an additional 2-5 minutes. They’re done when they are crisp! Enjoy!
