Our Arizona Camping Adventure

Last week, for spring break, we decided to take a trip with our new (to us) camper! I wanted to go somewhere warm. We decided on Arizona because of the warm March temperatures and the reasonable driving distance from Colorado. It was our first time towing for any long distance, and overall it went really well. We stayed a few nights at the Picacho / Tucson NW KOA because it was a great launching place for our adventures in Phoenix and Tucson. We were able to visit Saguaro National Park and Organ Pipe Cactus National Monument. We enjoyed really warm, beautiful weather in the 80’s. The kids were thrilled because it was warm enough to swim in the outdoor pool. We also stayed one night at the Holbrook KOA on our way home in conjunction with a trip to the Petrified Forest National Park.

I’ll be doing some short posts this week about all of the places we visited and what we enjoyed about them! So, be sure to check back!

On our way home, we hit a crazy Colorado snow storm, so the last day driving was quite long! Check out this view from my deck!

    1. That’s pretty awesome! I can’t remember the last time I went camping with the kids. It would be nice to do that again soon. Thanks for sharing your experience. The kids look like they had the best time!

    2. What a trip! Looks like the whole family had a blast. I’ve never been to Arizona, but I have many friends who’ve been there and love it. My husband would like for us to go one day.
