For our monthly crafting book club this month, we read It’s Pumpkin Day, Mouse! To go along with the story, I created a pumpkin face printable. Included in the printable are different sets of eyes, mouths and feelings.

You can change the expression on the pumpkin and help your child identify the matching feeling! This is a great activity to do for fall or Halloween. It’s a great extension activity for “It’s Pumpkin Day, Mouse!

The printable includes the pumpkin, eye strips, mouth strips, feeling strip and some fun hats! You’ll need to cut out the strips and cut slits in the pumpkin face. In order to avoid folding the pumpkin, I used a hobby knife to cut the slits.

  • What a great way to help kids enjoy the season as well as learn to interpret what others are feeling 🙂

  • That’s so cute!! I love the little hats that go with it. It is so important to start recognizing facial expressions.
